Virtual reality helmet

Recently the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center participated in two biggest tourist exhibitions: Rest With No Limits. Summer-2015 (Saint-Petersburg) and KAZAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION FOR TOURISM & SPORT. KIТS-2015 (Kazan).

The guests of the exhibitions learned not only about the programs and centers of the Jewish Museum but also managed to visit it thanks to the innovative virtual reality helmets. With the help of the most advanced technologies even if one is hundreds of kilometers away from Moscow one can visit the monument of the Constructivism architecture – the Bakhmetevsky Bus Garage in which the most technologically advanced museum of the country is situated. The audio-visual guide helped to carry out a 3D-excursion showing 12 halls of the Museum for the guests of the tourist exhibitions. Residents and guests of Saint-Petersburg and Kazan had an opportunity to visit one of the most famous cinemas of the country – the 4D-hall of the Jewish Museum in which the Biblical story becomes real, they visited the Odessa café and the noisy market square, witnessed the revolutions of the beginning of the 20th century and listened to the interviews of the Great Patriotic War beholders.

The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center plan to make the virtual reality helmets part of the permanent exposition. Special themed-based content dedicated to the history of one of the most ancient nations of the world will be developed for this.

The project was realized under the auspices of Rostekh Corporation and Sergey Viсtorovitch Chemezov personally and Transneft Company.
