New exhibit items will appear for the first time in the hall of the Great Patriotic War

Clothes, documents and photos from family archives started to arrive to the funds of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center half of a year before its opening. Now there are so many objects that the Museum can hold full-scale expositions dedicated to the every day life of the Jews during the 20th century in the Russian Empire and USSR. A considerable part of the collection consists of the materials connected with the Second World War. These are documents, letters, photos, commandment lists and personal possessions, interviews and family stories of the Jews who witnessed the War. By May 9 new exhibit items will appear for the first time in the hall of the Great Patriotic War: the tools of an army doctor, a guard badge of a 18-year old nurse, damaged bombs, a letter from a mother to a general, etc. This project will launch the process meant to carry out regular renewals and rotations of exhibit items on the basis of the unique materials collected during these years.
