Forum-Theatre “My Drug-Addict Friend”

16:00 on the 28th April saw the staging of the Forum-Theatre play “My Drug-Addict Friend.”  This play concerns the preventive measures employed against the use of psychoactive substances and the associated dependency issues – a theme particularly relevant to contemporary youth.  What to do if your friend ends up in a dependency situation and cannot overcome this?  How do people feel who have personal attachments to those finding themselves in such situations?  Can anything be done, when you’re all but ready to just throw in the towel?

In Forum-Theatre’s interactive production, each viewer is simultaneously both actor and director.  The play raises acute social issues, and turns to the audience for their solution.  Anyone can take part in the action: all are free to propose their own alternative behaviours for the protagonists and try them out on the stage.  Forum-Theatre urges viewers to think about matters and come up with personal answers to the most weighty and sensitive questions.
