“The School Museum as an Open System”

On the 13th May, the Tolerance Centre hosted the competition “The School Museum as an Open System” for the methodological contributions of educators from Moscow’s North-Eastern Administrative District. Taking part in the jury was the Tolerance Centre’s director, Anna Makarchuk.  Teachers from various school museums in the district prepared children’s master-classes on the activities of their museums – on all manner of topics, from folk traditions to cocoa and chocolate.  With great gusto, the educators came up with puzzles, sang songs and put on folk costumes, all with the aim of demonstrating that a school museum really can be an open system, having an impact on the emotions and values of people of all ages and persuasions. 

Following a vote by the participants and jury, the best projects were selected to receive the corresponding prizes.
