The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center is the Title Sponsor of the First Moscow Jewish Film Festival

The first Moscow Jewish Film Festival was founded with the aim to give the general public a possibility to get acquainted with the professional Jewish films. The Festival program is meant to screen the best Russian and foreign movies for the last few years dedicated to the Jewish culture and history.

Alexander Moiseyevich Boroda, the President of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia and Director General of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, became a member of the Festival jury. «The movies highlighting the Jewish theme make an invaluable contribution to the intercultural dialogue, and this is extremely important for such a multinational country as Russia. The first Moscow Jewish Film Festival, I hope, will become a sort of demonstration of the Jewish culture to the multimillion audience of the capital with the help of the movies, one of the favorite genres of the many, and this is a kind-hearted contribution to strengthening of friendly relationships between the nations of out country, » Alexander Moiseyevich Boroda stated.

The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center developed a special free of charge educational program for people of all ages which will be held at the Museum and other official Festival venues. The goal of the educational program is to carry out an additional culturological research connected with the movies-participants. Movie-screenings and discussions of animated, feature and short movies, discussions with invited movie critics and directors, art-studio for the youngest guests are among the planned events prepared by the Museum team.
