“The Fiddler on the Roof 5774” Award

The awarding ceremony of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia “The Fiddler on the Roof 5774” took place in State Kremlin Palace on December 17. Annually the people who made the most considerable contribution into the cultural and public life of the country independent of their nationalities and religion become its laureates. The expert jury recognized the exhibition: Andy Warhol. 10 famous Jews of the 20th Century carried out in the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center to be “Cultural Event-2014.”

The award – a bronze figure created by Israel sculptor Frank Meisler – was given to one of the curators of the exhibition and chief curator Maria Nasimova, who thanked Alexander Boroda, Borukh Gorin, Blavatnik Fund employees and the employees of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center for assistance and help in the realization of the project.
