The Moscow Times Award
The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center became the winner of the independent award of the English version of The Moscow Times.
Already for the second year the best of the best in the cultural, business and social spheres of the capital become laureates of The Moscow Times Award. This year Nabi Abdullaev, the chief editor of The Moscow Times, Ron van Dartel, the Netherlands Ambassador, the heads of the international chambers of commerce and industry (RBCC, CCFR, AmCham, etc.), the journalists of the leading international mass media (Financial Times, Les Echos, La Tribune, Le Monde, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and others) became members of the expert jury which chose winners in 12 nominees.
The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center became the winner as “The Cultural and Leisure Complex;” VDNH, Crocus City Hall, Park of Culture and Rest Sokolniki and Moscow Museum were also in the short-list. `December 10, the gala awarding ceremony took place at Lotte Hotel, more than 150 famous representatives of culture and business of Moscow became its guests. The MC was journalist Vladimir Pozner.
The award of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center was received by the Museum founder and the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia President – Alexander Moiseyevich Boroda.
