The Tolerance Centre is holding an exhibition and contest of photography centred around inter-personal and inter-group tolerance. And where is difference more obvious? Where do we find it necessary to negotiate and find something to unite us? Where else, but in communication, of course. Photos and collages have been sent in by Moscow college students to decorate the lobby of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre. The 3rd of June saw the winners of the exhibition-competition receive their prizes.
Event aims:
- To draw the attention of young people and the wider community to the problems of tolerance, life in a world of differences, the fostering of a culture of peace, and providing for an atmosphere of inter-ethnic and inter-confessional cohesion in the city of Moscow;
- The creation of photographic works on the themes addressed in the “5 Steps to Tolerance” Programme, with the possibility of their later distribution and publication for a wider audience;
- Widening the audience demographic for the “5 Steps to Tolerance” Programme.
