On the 26th of March, the Tolerance Centre held an adventure-game “Let’s Paint the World of Children in Happy Colours” for schoolchildren in years 1 through 5. In all, some 200 children from all parts of Moscow took part.
In the game, the participants make an imaginary journey through several countries of the world, where they learn, through play, about the traditional organisation of children’s leisure time and about popular arts. In the finale, they all combined to create a whole gallery of their own interpretations of the planet, executed in the most joyful and happy colours.
Volunteer students from institutions of secondary vocational education played an important part in organising and running the game.
The events aims were:
- To foster the formation of a tolerant world-view among scholars;
- To help schoolchildren develop inter-cultural interest;
- To activate the expansion of erudition and knowledge among scholars about the cultural diversity of the peoples of the world.
