On the 13th May, the Tolerance Centre hosted the competition “The School Museum as an Open System” for the methodological contributions of educators from Moscow’s North-Eastern Administrative District. Taking part in the jury was the Tolerance Centre’s director, Anna Makarchuk.

Forum-Theatre “My Drug-Addict Friend”
16:00 on the 28th April saw the staging of the Forum-Theatre play “My Drug-Addict Friend.” This play concerns the preventive measures employed against the use of psychoactive substances and the associated dependency issues – a theme particularly relevant to contemporary youth.

“Onwards, Digital Generation!” Nominations for “Tolerance Online” in Google
The results were announced on the 22nd April of the first round of a Russian-wide youth Internet project competition, organised by the company Google Rossiya. The jury featured the director of the Jewish Museum’s Tolerance Centre, Anna Makarchuk. As part of the competition, the Tolerance Centre held its own nomination process for “Tolerance Online.”

Festival of Peoples of the World in Moscow’s Eastern Administrative District
On the 24th of April, the Eastern Administrative District hosted the third regional Festival of Art of the Peoples of the Word, put on by a special committee of Izmailovo Region under the title “Countries which have hosted the Winter Olympics.”

Cinema Club with Yelena Pogrebizhskaya
The 24th of April saw the 4D cinema-theatre of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre host another of its now-traditional Cinema Club discussion events. This time, we watched the documentary film “The Little Boys From Freedom Street” which stands by itself as a film in its own right, but also as a logical continuation of the film “Mama, I’m Going to Kill You” which was discussed previously as part of the Week of Tolerance.

Forum-Theatre “Neighbours”
On the 13th of April, the Jewish Museum’s Centre of Tolerance once again hosted the now-traditional performance of the play “Neighbours” by the Forum-Theatre troupe. On this occasion, the play – concerning inter-ethnic relations – was watched by an audience of 70 people, mostly made up of students at Moscow schools and colleges.

Resources and capabilities: the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre for an education system for Russia
On the 4th of April, we were visited by Teachers Of The Year from a wide range of regions in the Russian Federation. These were introduced to the Tolerance Centre’s resources for a system of education: its main programmes, supplementary projects, and methodologies. Lessons on inter-ethnic relations were then given by the Centre to demonstrate these for the educators present.

Cinema Club with Yelena Pogrebizhskaya
A film showing and discussion was held in the cinema-theatre of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre on the 27th March, of Yuliya Kiselyova’s film “Big Hugs.”
