A training session in accepting differences and individuality
Short description:
During the training exercises and games, the participants will consider their own individuality and uniqueness, their special skills and talents, and consider the role and significance of differences in the life of society and separate individuals. The final game of the session is built around the motif of the Kurt Vonnegut short fantasy story “Harrison Bergeron.” The participants are transported to a utopian future, whose main ethical value lies in the equalisation of the abilities of all its members.
Aims:
- realising the uniqueness and diversity of the people around us;
- forming the abilities of positively assessing others.
- realising the balance between the general and the specific in the human personality;
- the realisation by participants of their own individuality;
- defining the problem of relations between possibilities and capabilities;
Target group: teenagers from 14-18 years of age
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
