"From Samarkand to St. Petersburg": dating two Judeo-Persian manuscripts from St. Petersburg collections
The research focuses on two manuscripts in Judeo-Persian (Mss. 150 New Series from the National Library of Russia and C40 Jewish from the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts, RAS). Both manuscripts are undated convolutes, therefore the main task is to present a detailed description of each fragment, its paleographical and codicological aspects and, if possible, to identify and connect some fragments in the manuscripts.
The author has already presented some first stages of the study at the conference "Thing — Symbol — Sign in Slavic and Jewish Culture", organized by the Sefer Center in December 2018. This year, proper and comprehensive research is to follow.
